@interstones Yes, the tail end will be at the bottom of what you're knitting. It might be quite long so you could cut it off just leaving a few inches to sew in when you've finished the knitting. Hope that helps

@SharkSalvation Personally I use this cast on (with one needle) for test pieces and tension squares. When I'm knitting a proper piece of work I tend to use the 2 needle chain cast on as I prefer the edge it gives me. Not sure if I'm understanding properly but once you have cast on you need to use both needles to knit however you've cast on.

I have not used that reel and see that I have to keep the manual close when using it the first month. I like using heavier lines since it is easier to pull the line free of limbs or roots than the ligher line which keeps breaking on me.

Thank you for this. I've always used the thumb method, but I've never been happy with the look it creates. I've tried learning this method from books, but they make it sound so complicated that I've always given up and fallen back on the thumb method. If you are fallowing a pattern, it should tell you the needles you need. Or, are you asking how to actually knit once the first row in on the needles?

It's probably been a decade since I've actually knitted anything myself, and admittedly i wasn't looking for this at the time, just generic youtube browsing... However, for a rather complex stitch, this was a clear, concise description, with easy to follow visual cues as well. @fitnisfrk - True. Tension is one of the most difficult things to learn. Don't worry though - as you improve, you won't even think about your tension anymore. It will stay nice and even. Most beginners tend to work too tightly because they are afraid that the stitches will fall off the needles!

I am so excited this is the first video I watch and get the technique down instantly. The only question I have about this method is that your tension (to tighten each stich) has to be very consistent otherwise you end up with some stitches nice and others a little saggy, right? Keeping them loose but still even is my problem. As a seasoned knitter, however, I'm sure consistent tension is not a problem like for a beginner. . . .

When you make your stitches just pull each of the strands gently to tighten them up. You don't want them to be too tight because you need to knit into them on the next row so be careful not to make them too tight. Make sure your stitches lie close together on the needle before making the next stitch.

I am a true beginner. I have done this stitch successfully, following this very clear and patient video. It's the first knitting I've ever done. But unfortunately there's about an inch of yarn between the two stitches on my needle. I can't find a video that does'n't rush through the tightening up. I suppose it must be obvious to most people, but it isn't to me. Can anyone tell me the correct way to do it? Thanks.

cirie and amanda are not heroes for what they did in micronesia .tina from survivor 2, erik from season 16, ozzie from season 13, yul from season 13, and shambo from 19 should be heroes. coach and sandra are not villains. danielle wasn't that big of a personality to deserve a recast. shane from danielle's season should be a villain. so should natalie from 16, and how can anyone forget about fairplay
